I love the light, earthy feel of the furniture & fixtures, and the open kitchen style in a casual dining setting. None like this yet in the Philippines!

Went with Claudia, Robin, and Bryan to The Magic Flute by Mr. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart—in original German. I sometimes get scared of Operas and I couldn’t understand half of the words except those I remember from the cartoon but this experience (and the building) was fantastic. Availed of the 50% student discount. ;)

Markets are my favorite destination when traveling. They tell you so much about the people and the culture, from what they eat to how they conduct business. So, in a family trip to Japan we tried to go to the tuna auction in the largest fish market in the world, Tsukiji in Tokyo. We didn’t catch it, though, as they closed the auction to tourists at that time. Yet we still snuck in to see the little goings-on in this bustling marketplace. All of Tokyo’s favorite foods come from here, so we also tried what might be the freshest sushi ever in a small side stall. Also heard that the entire market has been given good investment by the government and will be relocating in another area in Tokyo soon. ;)
